HUNTSVILLE, TX – HCU closed out the Remax Prime Properties Bearkat Invitational in 3rd place following a final round 308.
The Huskies were led by senior
Elise Parel who fired a final round 72 to finish 6th individually, her lowest round of the tournament. Sophomore
Lou Rousselot carded a final round 79 to finish in a tie for 15th place individually, with Senior
Aysis Azarcon finishing two strokes back of Rousselot after a final round of 78 to place 21st. Freshman
Alejandra Ferrer posted a final round 79 to finish in a tie for 38th place individually in her first outing as a Husky. Sophomore
Jackie Nguyen closed out the team line up with a final round of 81.3
Competing individually, Junior
Lucia Allub finished the tournament with a final round 74, putting her in a tie for 12th place.
Sam Houston won the tournament shooting a final round 289 to finish the tournament at five-over par. Zulaikah Nasser of Sam Houston took home the medalist title shooting a final round of 71 to finish the tournament six-under par individually.
The Huskies return to the course on Monday, October 10 at the Lady Red Wolves Classic hosted by Arkansas State in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
