DENVER, Colo. – HCU senior Bryant Farkarlun has been named the Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after recording three goals and two assists in two matches last week. Houston Christian University (HCU), formerly Houston Baptist University (HBU), underwent a name change in September 2022.
Farkarlun, hailing from Monrovia, Liberia, is currently tied for second in the country with 17 total points this season. He scored a pair of goals and added an assist in HCU's 6-0 win over Howard Payne last week before scoring again and adding an assist in the team's 2-0 win over UIW on Sunday. Over the last three games, Farkarlun has five goals and two assists. He leads the WAC in both goals and assists.
HCU travels to the west coast to start WAC play this weekend, first taking on San Jose State in San Jose, Calif. on Friday, Sep. 30, before heading north to face Seattle in Seattle, Wash. on Sunday, Oct. 2.
