MSOC: Huskies Face UIW Sunday at Sorrels Field

The Huskies will head back west to face the San Jose State Spartans in Their First Conference Match-up on Friday at 9:00 P.M. CST.

Houston - The HCU men's soccer team will finish their home stand this Sunday to face UIW at 7:00 p.m. at Sorrels Field.

The Huskies (3-3-2) play the last game of their three-game home stand against UIW after two big victories against Howard Payne and Eastern Illinois. In both games, the Huskies scored 6 unanswered goals. Five Huskies scored in their last game as well as an own goal by the other team.

The Huskies had their second shutout of the year. Bryant Farkarlun leads the Huskies with five goals Alex Aitken leads the team in saves. HCU has scored a total of 21 goals against their opponent's 11 goals.

UIW has not won a game yet this year and is coming off a 1-2 loss against Cal State Fullerton. They have scored three goals in seven games and they have been shut out five times this year. The Cardinals are coached by Kiki Lara.

Houston Christian University (HCU), formerly Houston Baptist University (HBU), underwent a name change in September 2022.
