HBU Men's Soccer Will Play on Sunday Against UIW Before Heading Back on the Road to Face San Jose State

Houston - The HBU men's soccer team stays home to face the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets on Wednesday night at 6 p.m.

The Huskies (2-3-2) return to Sorrels Field following a shutout victory over the Eastern Illinois Panthers last Saturday. The Huskies scored 6 unanswered goals against the panthers and are looking to keep their momentum going into Wednesday. 5 Huskies scored in their last game, bringing their goal total to 15. 

The Huskies had their first shutout of the year last Saturday. There have been a lot of firsts for the huskies this year as this is the first time the Huskies will play Howard Payne. Bryant Farkarlun and Ethan Giwa-Mcneil are tied for the most goals on the team this season. Alex Aitken has been the primary goalie with 35 saves. 

Howard Payne is coming off a shutout victory of their own against Schreiner University. They have scored nine goals in their last six games. They have a shut-out victory as well as a 0-0 tied game. The Yellow Jackets are coached by Trey McLaughlin. 

The Huskies will finish their home stretch against Incarnate Word before heading to San Jose State. The game will be played at 7:00 p.m. at Sorrels field on Sunday.
