MANHATTAN, KANSAS – The Huskies concluded the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Kansas State finishing in 13
th place. HBU recorded team scores of 309, 288, 313 to cap off the first tournament of the season.
The Huskies were led by Junior
Cooper New who finished in a tie for 18
th place after a final round 76, bringing his tournament total to 219. Senior
Mason Ghidina also shot a 76 for his final round placing him in a tie for 42
nd overall.
Oliver Dickman closed out his tournament with a final round of 83 to finish in a tie for 64
th, with freshman
Roy Barrera shooting 79 to finish in 66
th place.
Haven McEntire closed out the Huskies' scorecard with an 82 in his final round, placing him in a tie for 72
nd.
Kansas State took home the team championship after shooting rounds of 280, 271 and 286 to bring their total to 837, a 27-under par team score. North Dakota State finished in second at even par, with Grand Canyon finishing in third place with an eight over 872 total.
Kansas State's Cooper Schultz took home the individual honors shooting an 11-under par, 205 tournament total. Will Hopkins, also from Kansas State, finished one stroke behind Schultz shooting 10-under par.
The Huskies will return to action at the Zach Johnson Invitational hosted by Drake University September 26-27, 2022.
