MSOC: Huskies Head West to face San Diego

The Huskies play next against Cal Poly at 9 p.m. CST on Monday

HOUSTON - The HBU men's soccer team heads west for their first road game of the season to take on San Diego Friday night at 9 p.m. 

The Huskies (0-1-1) are coming off their first loss of the season last Sunday against no. 22 Campbell. D'alessandro Herrera scored his first goal for the Huskies while Jorge Mandujano helped out with the assist. Herrera was involved in HBU's goal against Furman, as well, earning an assist for setting up teammate Bryant Farkarlun. 

San Diego (0-2) suffered an 0-3 loss against Elon the last time out. The Toreros have yet to score a goal this season heading into their second home game of the year. The Toreros are led by Head Coach Brian Quinn. Their top shooters so far on the season include Mason Tunbridge and Rhys Gourdie with four shots each. All-time, the Huskies are 0-1 against San Diego with the only previous meeting coming in 2012. 

The Huskies continue their four game road stretch on Monday in San Luis Obispo, California against Cal Poly (0-2-0) at Alex G. Spanos Stadium. The game will start at 9:00 p.m. CST.
