Edinburg - The Huskies are downed by UTGRV in their final game of the season. This will be the final game of the year as the Huskies will not be able to play in the conference tournament. 

It was a silent first half for both teams as the Huskies took a total of 12 shots. Elijah Le took a shot at the bottom center portion of the goal until the UTGRV goalie made the save. This was their closest shot of the half for HCU. In the second half, the Huskies only took one shot that was blocked. UTGRV scored in the 68th minute and then scored two more goals in the same half to seal the win. Alex Aitken recorded 10 saves on the night. 

The Huskies will wait to see which conference awards may be announced for them. The Huskies will get ready to prepare for the next season. Houston Christian University (HCU), formerly Houston Baptist University (HBU), underwent a name change in September 2022.
