MSOC: Huskies Pick Up 1st WAC Win Over Seattle

The Huskies will head home for two games, starting with UNLV next Friday, October 7th.

Seattle, Washington - The HCU men's soccer team won their first conference game today against Seattle U. The final score was 2-0, making it the Huskies' 5th win of the year. 

It was a hard-fought battle for both teams as Seattle U took seven shots in the first half and HCU took three. No one was able to score a goal in the first half as it was a strong defensive game. Both teams stayed aggressive in the second half, but HCU punched it in first in the 61 first minute. The team scoring leader, Bryant Farkarlun, scored their first goal. HCU then scored their second goal in the 72nd minute by Elijah Le and it was assisted by Aldo Tarantini. The Huskies would go on to keep Seattle U scoreless throughout the rest of the game. 

Seattle U outshot HCU fifteen to eight this game, yet the Huskies came away with another shutout victory. This game marks the Huskies' fourth shutout victory of the year. Alex Aitken had another stellar performance with 3 saves on the night. 

The Huskies will head home for two games, starting with UNLV next Friday, October 7th. The game will start at 7:30 P.M. at Sorrels Field.
