THIBODAUX, LA – The Huskies travel to Nicholls looking to stay at the top of the Southland Conference Standings. The match will be played on Thursday, October 20
th at 6:30 p.m. in the David R. Stopher Gymnasium. This is the second of two meetings between HCU and Nicholls this season. HCU just notched Nicholls in the first meeting winning three sets to two after dropping the first and third set before rallying back to win the final two sets.
HCU (14-6, 6-1 SLC) is led by senior outside hitter
Anna Gadway with 244 kills, 56 assists, and 43 blocks on the season. Junior outside hitter
Sara Arroyo is averaging 3.01 kills per set, and a .254 attacking percentage. Redshirt freshman setter
Grace McLaughlin is leading the way with 730 assists and has recorded 234 digs on the year. Junior libero
Kaley Feris has 300 digs on the year and a reception percentage of .951. Freshman defensive specialist
Hazel Allen has recorded 149 digs while averaging 2.16 digs per set.
Nicholls (4-17, 1-8 SLC) is led by Katie Jones with 189 kills and 56 blocks on the year. Lilly Bivens has dished out 411 assists on the year and averages 5.27 assists/set. Kadie Becnel leads the Islanders defensively with 289 digs on the year and 3.85 digs/set.
