Chloe Bagshaw has been selected Southland Conference Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time this season. Houston Christian University (HCU), formerly Houston Baptist University (HBU), underwent a name change in September 2022.
The Huskies played their final two road games of the season this past weekend, first defeating McNeese, 1-0, before downing Southeastern, 2-0. In goal, Bagshaw faced a total of 19 shots and registered 10 saves to earn the clean sheets. The redshirt freshman now has six shutouts on the season, five of which have come in Southland play. She's tied for the league lead in shutouts and is one shy of tying the school record for shutouts in a season.
The Huskies are currently tied for fourth place in the conference standings and will close out the regular season with three home games. First up is conference-leading Lamar this Friday, Oct. 21, at 5:00 p.m.
