LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Huskies concluded the Little Rock Women's Golf Classic hosted by the University of Arkansas-Little Rock on Tuesday, October 18
th with a nine over par, 297 team score at Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. The Huskies finished in 3
rd place with scores of 293, 290, and 297, the Huskies' best finish at this tournament in program history.
HCU senior
Elise Parel took the individual medalist title finishing with a four-under par total with rounds of 71, 70, and 71. Parel finished all three days with under par rounds and made nine birdies over the three rounds. Parel has now won two tournaments as an individual during her time as a Husky.
Sophomore
Lou Rousselot finished the tournament with a two-over par round of 74. Rousselot recorded nine birdies in the tournament and finished in a tie for 14
th after posting rounds of 73, 73, and 74 for a 220 total.
Senior
Aysis Azarcon recorded a two-over par, 74, in the final round and finished her tournament with six total birdies en route to a tie for 23
rd finish. Azarcon posted rounds of 77, 73, and 74 for a 224 total.
Junior
Rocio Comparini shot a final round 78, and recorded six total birdies over the 54-hole tournament. Comparini posted rounds of 81, 74, and 78 for a 233 total and a tie for 56
th individually.
Junior
Lucia Allub capped off the tournament with a seven-over par 79, rolling in a total of five birdies throughout the tournament. Thanks to rounds of 72, 82, and 79, Allub finished in a tie for 56
th and a 233 three-day total.
Sophomore
Jackie Nguyen, playing as an individual, concluded her tournament with a two over par, 74. Nguyen recorded a team high 13 birdies over her three rounds and finished in 12
th place at two-over par. Nguyen recorded rounds of 73, 71, and 74 for a 218 total.
Georgia State won the Little Rock Women's Golf Classic with a five over par, 869 team total after shooting rounds of 297, 283, and 289. ULM finished eight shots back at 13-over par for a 2
nd place finish. Belmont University's Kendall Maynard finished second individually at two under par, two shots behind Parel.
HCU capped off their fall schedule with their best finish of the season and will return in the spring at the San Jose Intercollegiate on Monday, February 13
th, 2023 in Jacksonville, Florida.
