HOUSTON – HBU will see its first action at home when it hosts Lamar, Louisiana Tech and Prairie View A&M at the Houston Marriott Westchase Invitational Friday and Saturday in Sharp Gym.
The tournament begins with a matchup between PVAMU and LA Tech at 4 p.m. Friday, followed by HBU's home opener against former Southland Conference rival Lamar at 6:30 p.m. Saturday's action begins with PVAMU facing Lamar at 10 a.m., then HBU against LA Tech at 12:30 p.m. Lamar takes on LA Tech at 4:30 p.m, then the tournament wraps up with HBU and PVAMU at 6:30 p.m.
The Huskies (2-2) are coming off a sweep of PVAMU on Tuesday. The offense is guided by junior setter
Ellie Wipf, with sophomore outside hitter

Alyssa May each averaging 2.71 kills per set. Senior middle blocker

Lamar (1-3) is led by Paige Dugan with 2.90 kills per set. Faith Menary averages 3.55 kills per set for LA Tech (2-2). Tiffany Booe leads PVAMU (0-4) with 1.73 kills per set.
