DALLAS – The HBU men's soccer team will leave campus for the first time this season to take on SMU in Dallas Thursday night.
The Huskies (1-1) are coming off of a strong preseason which saw them beat Schreiner University and St. Thomas (TX) before hosting the HBU Invitational where they went 1-1 against St. Thomas (MN) and Florida Atlantic respectively. Senior forward
CJ Smith looks to keep his goal streak alive, having scored in the team's first two contests.
SMU (1-0) is coming off of a game in which they beat the 8
th ranked Stanford Cardinals 3-1, led by senior midfielder Gabriel Costa, who scored twice.
The Huskies and the Mustangs have faced off three times in the past with SMU holding the advantage, 2-1. This is the first time that the teams will meet since 2019.
The teams will face off at Washburne Soccer and Track Stadium on SMU's campus at 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcasted live on ESPN+.
