USAFA, Colorado – HBU men's soccer hit the road for their final game of the regular season. The Falcons host the Huskies on Friday night at 7 p.m. at Cadet Soccer Stadium. The Huskies last met the Falcons in a 3-2 loss in the 2019 WAC Tournament with Air Force winning the last five meetings.
Sophomore Bryant Farkarlun leads the way for HBU (0-8-2, 0-8-1 WAC) with three goals, two assists and a .502 shot on goal percentage. Senior Gianluca Natera has two goals on the season with nine shots on goal while sophomore Luis Poblacion adds a goal on the year with 10 shots on goal. Freshman Gustavo Otero looks to start in the goal for the Huskies with a .630 save percentage and 17 total saves.
Air Force punched their ticket to the 2021 Western Athletic Conference Tournament as the secured sixth seed, their fifth-straight conference tournament appearance. Thaddeus Dewing and Michael Neacsu both lead the team with two goals and an assist each. Five other Falcons have goals on the season. Kainoa Likewise looks to start in the goal for Air Force as he ranks second in the conference with 35 saves and 10 goals against him on the season.
The Huskies will finish their season against Air Force looking to secure a win for their final matchup.
