Redshirt freshman Jasie Roberts went 2-for-2, walking once, scoring twice and an RBI. Sophomore Sarah Venker went 2-for-3 with a double while redshirt freshman Shelby Echols went 1-for-3 scoring twice. Freshman Kaicey Hagler went 1-for-3 earning her first career RBI.

Shelby Mixon (1-10) took the loss in the circle for the Cardinals (5-39, 1-19 SLC) allowed eight earned runs on 11 hits throwing six innings, walking three and striking out two. Janelle Marwitz entered the game shortly walking two and allowing a run. Felixia Hinojosa went 1-for-2 scoring both of Lamar's runs including a home run. Ramirez singled in the third inning while Aleka Xayasang was able to score on an HBU error. Hinojosa put the final Cardinal run on the board with a home run in the fourth.

Brockway wasn't done, knocking her second home run of the game bringing in Autumn Sydlik followed  by a Hagler single to bring in Roberts in the fifth, putting HBU up 7-2. Brockway singles to bring Heidi Jaquez in the sixth and with a sacrifice fly from Roberts, Echols sees the plate for the winning run.

Venker went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Sydlik and Brockway each went 2-for-4 both scoring the two Husky runs. Jaquez went 1-for3 while Hagler got her second career RBI with the sacrifice fly.
