HOUSTON – The HBU Men's soccer team hosts California Baptist on Sunday to continue WAC play. Huskies haven't seen action against the Lancers since the 2-1 HBU win in November of 2019. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 28 at Sorrels Field. Â
HBU (0-2-1,0-2-0) scored their first goal of the season in their game against Grand Canyon from Bryant Farkarlun, the first of his HBU career. Gianluca Natera leads with five shots on goal while Luis Poblacion adds three. JP Becerra, with five-goals against him, has 10 saves on the season since his first career start against St. Thomas.Â
Cal Baptist (1-0-2,0-0-1 WAC) is led my Luis Mueller with two goals on the season with five shots on goal. Brian Illohan and Tete Vacas both have a goal each. Gage Rogers has one goal against him in the Lancers 4-1 win against San Diego and has 10 saves on the season.Â
The Huskies will head to Nevada as they take on UNLV on Friday, March 8 p.m. central time at the Johann Memorial Field.Â
