NEW ORLEANS – HBU completed a perfect opening weekend, sweeping New Orleans, 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-21), in Southland Conference volleyball Saturday at the Human Performance Center.

Mikayla Vivens and junior middle blocker each had 10 kills for the Huskies (3-5, 2-0 SLC), with Vivens adding seven digs and Allen posting six blocks. Sophomore right side
Anna Gadway had nine kills, nine digs and three blocks, while redshirt freshman outside hitter
Reagan Leinen had eight kills. Sophomore setter
Ellie Wipf registered 36 assists, five kills and two digs and junior middle blocker
Ebonie Ballesteros chipped in with five kills and a pair of blocks. Redshirt freshman libero
Kaley Feris came up with 17 digs and freshman defensive specialist
Madeline McKinney had six.
Atira Jells led the Privateers with nine kills and Shelby Pullins had six. Hannah Volpi led UNO with 13 digs and Trinity Jackson had 10. Lucie Pokorna handed out 30 assists and had six digs.
HBU hit .271, while holding UNO to .109. The Huskies outdug the Privateers, 50-42, outblocked them, 8-4, and outaced them, 5-3.
The Huskies return to action when they host Sam Houston Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Sharp Gym.
