MSOC: Huskies Travel West to Face Seattle U and San Jose State

Senior Weekend is next Saturday night at 7 p.m.

HOUSTON – The HBU men's soccer team hits the road for the final time this season to take on Seattle U Friday night at 9 p.m. and San Jose State Sunday evening at 5 p.m..
 
The Huskies (3-12-0, 1-7-0 WAC) are coming off of their first WAC win of the season on Sunday against Utah Valley. Bryant Farkarlun and Kaone Kolagano both got on the board for the Huskies while CJ Smith tallied his first two assists of the season in the contest. The two assists bring Smith's point total to 12 on the season to lead the team. Farkarlun's goal brings his total to four on the season sitting just one goal behind Smith for the team lead. Goalkeeper JP Becerra kept the Wolverines off the board with six saves in the contest, his first clean sheet of the season.
 
Seattle U (9-7-0, 5-3-0 WAC) is coming off of a 3-2 victory over UTRGV. Currently ranked fifth in the conference, the Redhawks are led by Levonte Johnson who has scored three times and assisted seven times which is tied for first in the WAC. Goalkeeper Akili Kasim is tied for the conference lead in saves with 64 and has the fourth highest save percentage at .753. All-time the Huskies are 1-7-1 against Seattle U.
 
San Jose State (8-5-2 6-1-1 WAC) is currently ranked third in the WAC and is coming off a three match win streak against GCU, UTRGV and UIW. This will be a good test for the Huskies as they have an all-time record of 3-4-2 against the Spartans and have won or drawn in each of the last three matches. The Spartans are led by Max Allen who has scored three times and assisted six times for the team. Goalkeeper David Sweeney has the third most saves in the conference with 47 and has the fifth best save percentage at .746.
 
The Huskies return home for their last match of the season and Senior Night next Saturday when they host Chicago State at Sorrels Field at 7 p.m.
