HOUSTON – HBU will play their last two home volleyball matches of the season against Northwestern State Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and Southeastern Saturday at 1 p.m. in Sharp Gym. Both games will be broadcast live on Husky Sports Net.
HBU (16-6, 7-2 SLC) is second in the conference standings after sweeping last weekend against UIW and Texas A&M Corpus. The Huskies are second in the league in hitting percentage (.200) and lead the league in opponent hit percentage (.147). HBU also leads in blocks, averaging 2.72 per set and digs, averaging 16.69 per set. The Huskies are led by junior setter

Ebonie Ballesteros who swept conference offensive and defensive awards last week. Wipf leads the league in assists with 809 for an average of 9.63 per set and Ballesteros leads the league in blocks with 105, averaging 1.33 per set. Right side hitter,
Anna Gadway, leads the Huskies with 206 kills and service aces with 21. Sophomore libero
Kaley Feris leads the Huskies in digs with 313.

Sara Arroyo, Gadway, and Ballesteros each average more than two kills per set.
Northwestern State (9-14, 3-5 SLC) is led by Symone Wesley who averages 2.81 kills per set, good for sixth in the conference. Setter Piper Boydstun is second in the conference averaging 9.42 assists per set so far this season.
Southeastern (8-13, 6-3 SLC) is led by Cicily Hidalgo who leads the conference in kills with 343 and 3.99 per set. Ansley Tullis is seventh in the conference averaging 4.1 digs per set.
The Huskies are on the road for their last three Southland contests on the season. Next weekend they travel to Louisiana to take on New Orleans on Thursday and Nicholls on Saturday before finishing off their season against McNeese (11/11) and returning home to host the Southland Conference Tournament in Sharp Gym.
