HOUSTON – The HBU men's soccer team travels to South Texas to take on WAC foe UTRGV at the UTRGV Soccer Complex in Edinburg Saturday night.
The Huskies (2-10-0, 0-5-0) are coming off of WAC losses to UNLV and Dixie State. The Huskies are looking to win their first road match of the season, and are 0-5 to this point. HBU is led by senior forward
CJ Smith who leads the team with five goals and ten points on the season.
Luis Poblacion leads the Huskies with three assists and goalkeeper
Ciro Calderon leads Husky keepers with 16 saves.
UTRGV (5-5-0, 2-2-0 WAC) have split their last four outings, with wins against Chicago State and California Baptist and losses to GCU and Air Force. The Vaqueros have won their only contest played on their home turf this season. Currently ranked 7
th in the conference, the Vaqueros are led by junior forward Reshaun Walkes who ranks second in the conference with eight goals and 20 points.
The Huskies finally return home to Sorrels Field next weekend when they host WAC opponents California Baptist (10/22) at 7 p.m. and Utah Valley (10/24) at 1 p.m.
