SAN MARCOS, Texas – HBU forced a fourth set, but Texas State was able to rebound and claim a 3-1 (25-17, 25-20, 25-27, 25-16) victory over the Huskies Saturday at Strahan Arena.

Megan Patillo each had nine kills for HBU (1-5), with Colwell adding 15 digs and Patillo five blocks. Senior outside hitter

Reagan Leinen each had eight kills, with Vivens also coming up with 16 digs. Sophomore setter
Ellie Wipf recorded 38 assists, three kills and three digs. Sophomore libero
Marisabel Torres-Rivera led the Huskies with 17 digs and registered a pair of aces.
Lauren Teske led three Bobcats (5-1) with double-digit kills by posting 19 with 14 digs and three aces, while Janell Fitzgerald had 14 kills and Caitlan Buettner 13. Tyeranee Scott added nine kills and five blocks. Emily DeWalt dished out 50 assists and had 11 digs, two kills and two aces. Kayla Granado led Texas State with 21 digs.
The Bobcats hit .270 for the match, while the Huskies hit .159. Texas State outdug HBU, 73-61, outblocked them 10-8, and outaced them, 9-3.
The Huskies wrapped up their abbreviated fall schedule and will await the Southland Conference's decision regarding a spring season in 2021.
