SAN ANTONIO, Texas– The HBU Huskies dropped the first midweek matchup of the season to the UTSA Roadrunners, 6-2.

Avery Drake continues to get on base going with a pair of singles in three at bats raising her batting average to .500 on the year. Drake now leads the team with nine hits in six games played. Senior
Amber Lotz hit her first homerun of the season to left center and is hitting .412 on the year.
Shelby Echols is batting .500 in her first season as a Husky and returner
Autumn Sydlik both delivered singles on the day.
The Roadrunners Taylor Medina went 2 for 3 on the day driving in two runs, one coming off a solo shot in the third inning off Huskies
Sarah Venker. Clarissa Hernandez was in the circle for the Roadrunners and took her team the distance throwing a complete game giving up two runs on seven hits while also striking out seven and issued two walks in a day's work.
The Huskies head to Huntsville as they take on Loyola-Chicago, Providence and George Mason in a pair of games each day Friday and Saturday.
