MSOC: Huskies Prepped to Take on #1 ranked Wake Forest
Winston-Salem, N.C.- HBU Men's Soccer is on the road Monday night as they take on powerhouse #1 ranked Wake Forest in Winston-Salem at 6:00 p.m. The Huskies come into the game with a 1-1 record with their win coming against Wofford in a 2-0 victory.
HBU (1-1) is coming in off of a loss to SMU on the road that saw
Gianluca Natera get his 1st goal of the season. That ties him with
Thomas Menke and
Jordi Cobo (who both scored in the Wofford game) with the team lead in the short season.
Wake Forest (3-0) come into the match with wins over Creighton, Dartmouth, and #15 UCF. They have outscored their opponents 6-2 to start the season. Justin McMaster leads the Demon Deacons with two goals and is followed up by Bruno Lapa, Calvin Harris, Alistair Johnston, and Kyle Holcomb.Â
The Huskies will have two more games on the road as they go to Tulsa, Oklahoma to take on Oral Roberts and then head to Conway, Arkansas to face off against Central Arkansas. The Huskies will return to Sorrels Field Sept. 21st agaisnt IUPUI.
