MSOC: Huskies Fall on the Road at SMU
Dallas, TX- The HBU Men's Soccer team fell to the SMU Mustangs on the road Monday night by a score of 7-1.
The Huskies kept the game tight through the first 30 minutes as
Gianluca Natera scored a goal in the 16th minute to tie the game at one. The Mustangs added two more goals in the last 15 minutes of the first half to make it 3-1. The Mustangs would take over in the second half putting up four more goals to finish out the game.
HBU put up a total of eight shots with two coming on goal.
Tim Ugo lead the team with three shots followed up by Natera's two.
Nick Coburn,
Lucas Vazquez, and
Andres Rojas each added a shot of their own.
Jorge Cabrera was in goal for the Huskies and a game high six saves against 29 shots.
The Huskies will have the next week off, but they will next will return to action when they travel to Winston-Salem, North Carolina where they will take on Wake Forrest Demon Deacons Monday September 9th at 6:00 P.M.
