TULSA, Okla. - HBU fell to Tulsa in three, but rebounded with a four-set victory over SIU-Edwardsville in the Tulsa Invitational Friday at the Reynolds Center.
The Huskies (5-5) downed SIU-E (5-2), 3-1 (25-21, 17-21, 25-23, 25-21).

Mikayla Vivens notched her third double-double of the season for HBU with 11 kills and 16 digs and sophomore outside hitter
Kelly Colwell nearly doubled-doubled with nine kills and 15 digs. Sophomore middle blocker
Ebonie Ballesteros also had nine kills, freshman right side
Anna Gadway added six and sophomore middle blocker
Jada Allen chipped in with four kills and three solo blocks. Freshman setter
Ellie Wipf had a career-high 36 assists and senior libero
Hannah Lewis came up with 12 digs.
Rachel McDonald led the Cougars with 12 kills to go along with nine digs and Hope Everett had eight kills and three blocks. Mallory Nicholson had 16 assists and 10 digs and Jordyn Klein led SIU-E with 18 digs.
HBU was outhit by SIU-E, .161-.150, were outdug, 64-57, and outaced, 4-0. The Huskies outblocked the Cougars, 7.0-3.0.
Against Tulsa, Colwell led the Huskies with nine kills and also had seven digs, while Ballesteros had six kills and three blocks. Vivens and Gadway each had five kills, with Vivens also coming up with nine digs. Wipf handed out 13 assists and Dewyer had 11, and Lewis had 12 digs.
Dilara Gedikoglu led Tulsa (5-3) with 15 kills and nine digs, while Callie Cook added nine kills with no errors. Maggie Hembree chipped in with seven kills, Roosa Ratio had 21 assists and Mariah Pardo had 18. Taylor Horsfall led the Golden Hurricane defensively with 13 digs.
Tulsa hit .303 and held HBU to a .184 mark. The Golden Hurricane outdug the Huskies, 44-38, and HBU held a slight edge in blocks, 5.0-4.0. Each team served up four aces.
HBU wraps up the tournament against UTSA Saturday at 11 a.m.
