SB: Huskies Set for Weekend Series Against McNeese
HOUSTON- HBU softball returns home after a four game road trip to face off against the Cowgirls of McNeese in a three game series starting with a double-header Friday at 1:00 P.M.
HBU (13-12, 3-6) is hitting .272 with 13 homeruns as a team. The Huskies are led by sophomore outfielder
Sierra Humphrey who leads the team with a .361 average. To follow her up is senior first basemen
Brooke Bushman is hittting .338 and is second on the team with five doubles.
The Huskies look to continue to utilize all three pitchers on the staff with
Jessica Patak (4-7) expected to start Friday's first game with
Emma Guindon (5-3) going in game two, and Elliot Estes (4-2) to wrap up the series on Saturday.
McNeese (15-19, 6-3) is lead by Justyce McClain who is batting .396 on the season with a team high 22 runs scored. Cori McCrary follows her with a .317 average a tie for the team high in homeruns with three and a team high 17 RBI's.
Alexsandra Flores (7-8) Looks to get the start in game one for the Cowgirls with Amber Coons (3-2) and Saleen Flores (1-3) to follow her up.
