SB: HBU Ready for Weekend Series With SFA
HOUSTON- HBU Softball stayed in Arlington last night to get a practice in before traveling to Nacogdoches to face off in a weekend series against Stephen F. Austin.
HBU (13-9, 3-3) is coming off a 6-5 win over UTA Wednesday that saw all three Huskies pitchers get action and senior
Brooke Bushman hitting a two run homerun. Bushman and second baseman
Amber Lotz lead the Huskies in batting with .367 averages.
Sierra Humphrey and
Autumn Sydlik follow them up with .365 and .333 averages at the plate on the season.
HBU is expected to use all three pitchers on the weekend starting with
Jessica Patak (4-6) who leads the Huskies in innings pitched and games started.
SFA (15-13, 3-3) is coming off a marathon game with Texas A&M in which they fell 2-0 in 15 innings. The Lady Jacks are hitting .268 as a team lead by Triniti Kendzior with a .327 average. Margarita Corona follows her up with a .321 average and a team high 5 homeruns on the season.
The SFA pitching staff is anchored by Kassidy Wilbur (9-9) who has already amassed 107.1 innings pitched on the season.
