HOUSTON – HBU head women's soccer coach Misty Jones announced the addition of a pair of transfers, Tayah Reynolds and Karla Ramirez, to the Huskies' program for the upcoming 2019 season on Thursday.

"We are thrilled to complete our 2019 recruiting class with two transfers," said Jones.

Reynolds is the older sister of current Husky Bryce Reynolds and signee Maggie Reynolds, giving the Huskies a trio of sisters for the next two years. The Riverdale, Utah native is a midfielder who has spent the last two seasons at Snow College where she was named second team all-region as a sophomore. Reynolds totaled five goals over her two seasons for a Snow College team that earned conference and region championships her freshman year and shared the conference title her sophomore year.

"Tayah, transferring from Snow College where she was an All-Region Selection, will bring a wealth of collegiate experience to our team," Jones added. "She is a very technical player with a good engine and will immediately impact our midfield. It will be fun to have all three Reynolds sisters playing with us for the next two years."

Ramirez, from San Pedro Garza Garcia in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, will join the Huskies after spending her freshman year at Wiley College. She played every minute in goal as a freshman for the Wildcats and posted a .762 save percentage with three shutouts.

"Karla will bring great collegiate experience as she played every minute of the season last year in goal at Wiley College," stated Jones. "Karla has a strong youth club soccer background as well and is ready to push herself to perform at a high level.  She will be an immediate contender for a starting position in goal."

Reynolds and Ramirez bring the number of new Huskies for the 2019 season to eight, joining Maggie Reynolds, Anna Briseno, Ryan Ford, Lauren Avila, Xya Balderas and Presley Payne who have all signed with the Huskies.
