MGOLF: Huskies Finish in 9th Place at LaTour Intercollegiate
Mathews, La.- HBU finishes in 9th place at the LaTour Intercollegiate after a 306 final round. The Huskies finished with a 50-over par 914 on the tournament 45 strokes back of the leader UTRGV.
Hbu was led by Daniel Dimaculangan who finished in a tie for 15th place after a round of 72 on Tuesday. Dimaculangan finished with a 7-over par 223 which was 10 shots behind of the lead.
Marcelo Trevino was behind him in 32nd place shooting a final round of 78. That brought his total to 14-over par 230.
Mathew Chairuangdej shot a 79 in the final round for a 16-over par 232.
Ransom Jacobson shot a final round 84 to bring his total to 236 good for 51st place.
Patrik Jericha rounds out the Husky 5 man lineup with a 237 total good for 52nd place.
Colin Mulligan competed as an individual shooting a 238 with a final round 84 to finish in a tie for 53rd place.
UTRGV took the team win shooting a 288 in the final round for a 5-over par 869 total. Samford finshed in second place with a 885 total, and Stephen F. Austin finished in third with a 886 total.
John Hill of Incarnate Word and Tennoshin Ogawa split the individual honors with Hill shooting a final round of 69 and Ogawa shot a 72 to bring their totals to 3-under par 213's. Prairie View A&M's Laurence Crez and Samford's Harlan Winn tied for 3rd place with 2-under 214's.
HBU Men's golf will return to action next week Feb.25-26 hosting the Colin Montgomerie Invitational.
