WGOLF: Huskies Finish 4th at Texas State Invitational
Kyle, Texas- HBU women's golf finishes in 4th place in Texas State Invitational Tuesday Afternoon in Kyle, Texas. The Huskies 302 final round was enough to hold their position in 4th place as UTSA took 1st place overall.
HBU had four of its five golfers finish inside the top 25 led by Senior
Kaity Cummings who shot a 75 in her final round to bring her total to a five-over par 218. Senior
Lexi Brooks was just behind Cummings shooting a 74 in her final round to bring her to a six-over par 219. Junior
Alisa Chong was one stroke behind Brooks shooting a 75 in the final round to bring her total to seven-over par 220. Sophomore
Sara Zrnikova finished with a nine-over par 222 shooting a 78 in the final round, Freshman
Tiffany Nguyen rounded out the Huskies lineup with a 241 total with an 84 on the final day,
HBU freshman
Grace Cassity competed as an individual placing 80th with a 243 total.
UTSA won the team standings with a team two-over par 854 total 20 strokes ahead of the next team. HBU was four strokes behind Tulsa with a 879 total that was 27-over par.
The Huskies compete at the Islander Classic in two weeks Feb.25-26 at the Corpus Christi C.C.
