MSOC: Huskies Open WAC Tournament Against Host Air Force

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO- HBU Men's Soccer team is set to open up the WAC Men's Soccer Tournament against hosting school and #3 seed Air Force Wednesday evening with the game is set for 4:00 P.M.

HBU (7-10, 5-6 WAC) is entering the game off a 2-0 victory over Kansas City to fight their way into the WAC Men's Soccer Tournament. The Huskies have been riding a hot streak of late winning their last four out of five matches. However, the Falcons of Air Force did defeat the Huskies 3-1 in mid October. Dominick Faletto is poised for a bigger role in the tournament coming off a injury that limited his minutes the previous two games. Faletto leads HBU with 12 points this season with six goals. Gianluca Natera follows him up with 10 points off three goals and four assists. In goal for the Huskies will be Jorge Cabrera who was name WAC Defensive Player of the Week last week for his dominant performance in the postseason clinching game against Kansas City. Cabrera logged seven saves in the shutout which was his second of the season. 

Air Force (7-10, 6-5 WAC) The Falcons are coming off a 4-1 loss to Utah Valley, but hold the #3 seed in the tournament with a strong 4-2 start in WAC play. The Falcons are led by Tristan Trager who has recorded 28 points off of 12 goals and four assists. Quin Matulis and Lathan Spadafora follow him up with 14 and 13 points respectively. Matulis has seven goals on the season and Spadafora has three goals to go with his four assists. Kainoa Lilkewise will start in goal for Air Force and he has collected 69 saves on the season for a .719 save percentage.
