HUNTSVILLE, Texas – HBU has split each of the first two weeks of league play and will hit the road to battle Sam Houston State Thursday, followed by McNeese Saturday in Southland Conference volleyball.
 
Junior outside hitter 
Mikayla Vivens has recorded double-doubles in nine of the last 10 matches, including five straight, and ranks fourth in with 3.73 kills per set in league matches only. She also ranks sixth with 3.93 digs per set and is the only non-libero among the top 10. Sophomore outside hitter 
Kelly Colwell adds 2.87 kills and 3.13 digs per set and junior right side 
Ashtyn Richey averages 2.33 kills per set. Junior middle blocker 
Megan Patillo is hitting .395 in conference play to rank fifth in the league and sophomore middle blocker 
Ebonie Ballesteros ranks ninth with 1.20 blocks per set. Junior setter 
Morgan Dewyer ranks second with 9.93 assists per set and is also averaging 2.87 digs per set. Senior defensive specialist 
Camie Copeland is averaging 3.00 digs per set and senior libero 
Hannah Lewis is averaging 2.47 digs per set for the Huskies (10-9, 2-2 SLC).
 
Sam Houston State Bearkats (8-8, 4-0 SLC)

Ashley Lewis leads the conference with 4.07 kills per set and is also averaging 3.00 digs per set. Breanne Chausse adds 3.00 kills per set and Catherine Krieger 2.80 kills per set. Madilyn Miles records 5.80 assists and 2.33 digs per set and Morgan Janda averages 4.13 assists and 2.07 digs per set. Addison Miller leads the Southland with 5.33 digs per set and Kaira Hunnicutt is the Bearkats' leading blocker with 1.07 per set.
 
McNeese Cowgirls (8-9, 1-4 SLC)

Alexis Lambert posts 3.06 kills and 2.38 digs per set, while Keegan Nelms averges 2.74 kills and 3.21 digs per set for the Cowgirls. Macee Krpec chips in 2.12 kills and 2.61 digs per set. Kendall Kilchrist averages 6.45 assists per set and Caitlin Sharrock averages 4.73 assists per set. Angela McGownd is McNeese's top defender with 3.65 digs per set.
