HOUSTON, TX- HBU Men's soccer fell at home against UIW by a score of 1-0. The game featured back and forth action as both teams fought to get on the scoreboard.
The Huskies fell to a 3-8 overall record and 1-4 in WAC play. The Huskies put up 13 total shots with two coming on goal. The Cardinals blocked many of the Huskies shots inside the box keeping them off the scoreboard.
Gianluca Natera led the way once again putting up a game high six shots.
Jorge Cabrera got the start in the goal making one save.
The Cardinals we led by Miguel Velasquez. Velasquez finished with two shots and the lone goal of the game. Carlos Mercado got the shutout in goal for UIW with two saves on the night.
The Huskies return to action next Saturday as they host Air Force Saturday at 7:00 P.M.
