MSOC: Huskies Return to Sorrels Field to Take On UTRGV
HOUSTON, TX- HBU Men's Soccer is set for their WAC home opener against UT Rio Grande Valley Friday at 7:30 P.M. The Huskies started WAC play with three straight games on the road including their most recent game a 3-2 overtime win against San Jose State.
HBU (3-6, 1-2 WAC) is currently averaging 1 goal a game led by
Gianluca Natera with two goals and a total of 10 shots on goal. In conference play Dominck Faletto leads the team with three shots on goal including the game winner vs San Jose State.
Jorge Guzman looks to get the start in goal for the Huskies with a save percentage of 70%. with 35 total saves on the year.
UTRGV (6-2, 2-1 WAC) is coming off a 2-0 victory over Air Force after dropping a decision to Utah Valley. The Vaqueros are led by Kyle Edwards who has six goals on the year to go with two assists. He is followed up by William Akio and Angel Lopez who have combined for five goals and five assists. Andy Rios will get the start in goal with 33 saves on the year and a save percentage of 80.5%
HBU will return to Sorrels Field Sunday at 7:00 P.M. to face off with UIW.
