Two Huskies Finish In Top 25

ERIE, Colorado- HBU men's golf shot 296 to finish 6th with a total of 882 on the final day of the Mark Simpson Colorado Invite Tuesday at the Colorado National Golf Club.

Senior Dan Dimaculangan and Patrik Jericha led the Huskies both finishing T-24th with a total of 219. Dimaculangan shot a 75 and Jericha shot a 70 today in the final round. Ransom Jacobson shot a 76 to bring his total to 223 good for T-38th. The Huskies were rounded out by Marcelo Trevino who shot 75 today to bring his total to 227 and Nicko Martinez who shot 79 for a 230 total. Overall the Huskies shot 18-over par for the tournament.

Two players sit atop the individual standings Colorado's Trevor Olkowski and Utah's Kyler Dunkle both finished 9-under par 207 total after shooting 68's in the final round. In 3rd was Colorado's Daniel O'Loughlin at 5-under par 211. In 4th was Fullerton's Dalton Daniel who finished with a total of 212 5 stokes back of the lead.

The host team Colorado took the team title as they finished with 850. Utah trailed by 2 strokes, while Cal State Fullerton trailed by 15 strokes. Wyoming finished in 4th 868, 14 strokes ahead of HBU

HBU men's golf next travels to New Mexico State in the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate Oct. 15-16.
