HOUSTON – HBU will take on Liberty Friday, then South Carolina and host Rice Saturday in non-conference volleyball at the Rice Adidas Invitational at Tudor Fieldhouse.

Mikayla Vivens, who was the MVP of the season-opening Barcelona Sporting Goods HBU Classic last weekend, leads the Huskies (4-0) with 3.92 kills and 3.15 digs per set. Redshirt freshman outside hitter

Liberty (1-2) is led by Casey Goodwin with 2.90 kills per set and Amelia Johnson with 2.67 kills per set. Anna Gragg, Payton Carter and Victoria Baptista each average at least two kills per set for the Flames. Hannah Morris puts up 7.59 assists per set, Kailey Macy leads the squad with 1.30 blocks per set and Margaret Latchford anchors the defense with 4.38 digs per set.
Jess Vastine and Mikayla Shields each average 3.33 kills per set for South Carolina (3-0), while Mikayla Robinson chips in with 3.00 kills per frame. Courtney Koehler paces the offense with 11.00 assists per set, Shields leads the Gamecocks with 2.50 digs per set and Claire Edwards averages a block per set.
Nicole Lennon averages 4.33 kills and 2.58 digs per set and Grace Morgan adds 3.09 kills per set for Rice (2-1). Carly Graham and Adria Martinez run the offense, averaging 5.75 and 5.45 assists per set, respectively. Lee Ann Cunningham leads the Owls defensively with 4.83 digs per set and Morgan puts up 1.18 blocks per set.
The Huskies are away from home for 11-straight matches and will face Prairie View A&M Tuesday, followed by UTSA, Cornell and host Houston at the Flo Hymen Collegiate Cup at Yeoman Fieldhouse next weekend.
