NATCHITOCHES, La. – Holding onto eighth place in the standings, HBU faces a test with three of its final four regular-season matches on the road, beginning with Northwestern State in Southland Conference volleyball Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Prather Coliseum.
Eight teams advance to the Southland Conference Tournament Nov. 16-18 in Natchitoches.
HBU (12-14, 5-7 SLC) is led by sophomore outside hitter
Mikayla Vivens, who averages 3.41 kills and 3.20 digs per set and has recorded a league-leading 17 double-doubles. Sophomore middle blocker

Reagan Rogers leads NSU (9-12, 5-6) with 3.22 kills and 2.87 digs per set, while Hannah Brister, Alexis Warren and Madeline Drake each average more than two kills per set. Skylar Besch averages 9.07 assists per set and Channing Burleson leads the SLC with 5.16 digs per set.
SLU (2-22, 1-10) is led by Jodi Edo, who averages 2.05 kills per set and Caroline Golden at 1.93 kills per set. Haley Baker paces the offense with 4.67 assists per set and Lexie Torres leads the team with 2.99 digs per set.
The Huskies return home for Senior Night against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Sharp Gym, before wrapping up the regular season against Incarnate Word Thursday, Nov. 8 in San Antonio.
