HOUSTON - HBU returns home to take on 20th-ranked Nicholls on Military & First Responders Appreciation Day presented by Houston Federal Credit Union Saturday at 2:05 p.m. in Southland Conference football at Husky Stadium. The game will be shown on the Southland Digital Network with Tom Franklin and Ken Moore, while the DNA Husky Sports Network audio broadcast will be available on HBUHuskies.com.

Sophomore quarterback
Bailey Zappe has set school records with 185 completions on 314 attempts for 2,097 yards and 21 touchdowns, which leads the league and ranks fifth nationally. He also rushed for 132 yards and a 68-yard touchdown last week at Northwestern State. Sophomore running back
Dreshawn Minnieweather has rushed for 416 yards with four touchdowns and a receiving touchdown and sophomore running back
LaDarius Dickens 533 yards from scrimmage, with three receiving touchdowns, a rushing touchdown and a kickoff return touchdown. Freshman
Jerreth Sterns has set a school record with 47 catches for 488 yards and four touchdowns, while senior
David Racine has 19 catches for 349 yards and four scores for the Huskies (1-7, 0-6 SLC).

Sophomore linebackers
Langston Tunson and
Caleb Johnson lead HBU defensively with 76 and 75 tackles respectively. Tunson ranks third nationally with 12.7 tackles per game, while Johnson has a pair of fumble recoveries, one of which he returned for a touchdown. Senior linebacker
Kyle Bowling has 59 stops and is tied for the team lead with two interceptions with sophomore safety
Patrick Wolfe, who has 54 tackles. Junior defensive end
Andre Walker has a team-leading 3.5 sacks and is HBU's all-time leader with 10.

Chase Fourcade has completed 128-of-224 passes for 1,779 yards and 12 touchdowns, while rushing for 311 yards and five touchdowns for the Colonels (5-3, 4-2). Dontrell Taylor has rushed for 478 yards and four touchdowns. Dai'Jean Dixon has made 33 catches for 455 yards and four touchdowns, with Damion Jeanpiere adding 23 catches for 490 yards and two scores.

Khristian Mims has a team-leading 44 tackles for Nicholls and Evan Veron has 34 tackles, 17 for loss, including six sacks. Sully Laiche has 4.5 sacks and Darren Evans and Austin Dickerson each have two interceptions.

Nicholls leads the all-time series against HBU, 3-1, with the Huskies winning the first one in Houston in 2014 and the Colonels claiming the last three.
