WGOLF: HBU Finishes Tied for 9th at Little Rock Classic
HOT SPRINGS, Arkansas- HBU drops two spots into a tie for 9th place with host team University of Arkansas Little Rock. The Huskies shot 311 on the final day to bring their total to 61-over par 925.
HBU women's team was led by Junior Alisa Chong who finished tied for 23rd after posting a 76 on the last day bringing her total to a 13-over par 229. Senior Kaity Cummings shot a 79 in round three to bring her total to a 15-over par 231 good for a tie for 32nd and Sophomore Sara Zrnikova finished tied for 36th with a total of 16-over par 232. Junior Caylee Senn finished in a tie for 52nd after shooting an 81 in the final round to bring her total to 20-over par 236 and Freshman Tiffany Nguyen shot a 82 Tuesday bringing her total to23-over par 239.
Central Arkansas Took home the team win climbing five spots in the final round posting a 33-over par 897. Missouri State took second place posting a 303 in the final round to move their total to 36-over par 900. UTEP finished in third place moving up two spots on the final day by posting a 301 in the final round to bring their total to 38-over par 902.
Western Kentucky's Megan Clarke took home the individual honors posting a 4-under par 212. Missouri State finished two strokes behind her shooting a 2-under par 214 and Emelie Blennow of University of Arkansas Little Rock finished in third place with a 1-over par 217.
The HBU women's golf team is done with tournaments for the fall semester, but will return in the spring Feb. 11-12 at the Texas State Invitational.
