Kaity Cummings shoots a 73 in the final round to bring her score to a 3-under par 213. Sophomore
Sara Zrnikova finishes in the top 10 at 9
th overall with a 7-over par 223. Senior
Lexi Brooks so a 12-over par 228 that was good for T-21
st. Rounding out for the huskies is
Alisa Chong who shot a 16-over par 232 to finish in 28
th, and newcomer
Tiffany Nguyen shot a 17-over par 233 that was good enough to finish T-21
st.

The Huskies had two golfers compete as individuals. Junior Caylee Seen Finished T-40
th with a 22-over par 238. Freshman
Grace Cassity finished inside the top 50 in her 1
st tournament as a Husky. Cassity shot a 26-over par for a total of 242.

The host school Sam Houston State took home the team win with a 13-over 877 par, 13 strokes ahead of the Huskies. Lamar came in 2
nd with a 20-over par 884. The Huskies came in 3
rd with a 26-over par 890.

Following
Kaity Cummings in the individual leaderboard was Sam Houston State's Hannah Alberto and Lamar's Eva Martinez. They both shot 1-under par 215 for the tournament. They were followed by Sam Houston State's Jenna Phillips, who shot a 1-over par 217.

The Huskies next travel to Seattle, Washington to compete in the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational on Oct.14
