WGOLF: Cummings Takes 1st as Huskies Finish in 2nd at Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational
LAKEWOOD, Washington- HBU women's golf finishes in 2
nd place at the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational Tuesday.
Senior
Kaity Cummings won the individual honors for the Huskies for the 2
nd tournament in a row. Cummings won a three-hole playoff to take the title. Cummings shot a 71 in the final round to bring her total to a 2-under 214. Junior
Alisa Chong finished tied for 12
th with a 6-over par 222 and
Lexi Brooks shot a 8-over par 224 to finish tied for 15
th. Sophomore
Sara Zrnikova finished tied for 57
th posting a 75 final round for a 235 total, and Freshman
Tiffany Nguyen shot a 81 in the third round for a 245 total.
Washington's Karen Miyamoto tied with Cummings for the lead by shooting a 69 in the final round to bring her total to a 2-under 214. In 3
rd place was Quynn Duong from Gonzaga with a 1-over par 217.
The Huskies next tournament is at Hot Spring, Arkansas Oct. 28-30 in the University of Arkansas Little Rock Invitational.
