HOUSTON – After 10-straight matches away from home, including its first three Southland Conference contests, HBU volleyball comes back home to take on Lamar Thursday, then Stephen F. Austin Saturday at Sharp Gym.
Senior outside hitter
Bailey Banks, who was named SLC Offensive Player of the Week Monday, leads the Huskies (10-5, 2-1 SLC) with 3.49 kills and 3.18 digs per set, while senior outside hitter
Jessica Wooten averages 2.91 kills and 3.49 digs per set. Freshman setter
Abby Gargus paces the office with 10.10 assists per set, which ranks second in the league. Senior middle blocker
Blair Gillard lead the SLC with 1.30 blocks per set and senior libero
Hailey Erickson anchors HBU's back row with 3.87 digs per set.
Lamar (2-10, 0-2) is led by Tomar Thomas, who averages 3.16 kills per set, and Murielle Hlavac, who averages 2.59 kills and 2.49 digs per set. Haley Morton hands out 7.35 assists per set and Molly Shade adds 6.55 assists per set. Ivette Dim averages 2.26 kills and 1.16 blocks per set. Amy Hollowell leads the Cardinals defensively with 2.69 dig per set.
SFA (14-4, 2-0) is led by Haley Coleman's 2.85 kills and 2.90 digs per set and Corin Evans' 2.84 kills and 2.47 dig per set. Makenzee Hanna leads the conference with a .367 hitting percentage and adds 2.45 kills per set and blocks 1.05 shots per set. Danae Daron chips in with 2.75 kills per set and Ann Hollas averages 6.97 assists per set. Lexus Cain leads the Lady Jacks with 4.27 digs per set.
