LAKE CHARLES, Louisiana - HBU will play the final of four-straight road games to open the season when it faces McNeese in the first-ever meeting between the schools on the gridiron in Southland Conference action Saturday at 6 p.m. at Cowboy Stadium. The game will be shown on Fox Sports Southwest Plus (Tom Franklin/ND Kalu) and can be heard on the Legacy Sports Nework/HBUHuskies.com (Lonnie King/Tyler Boyd).
Freshmen lead the Huskies (1-2, 0-1 SLC) in nearly every offensive category, with quarterback
Bailey Zappe completing 44-of-86 passes for 481 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. Running back
James Brown has carried 25 times for 163 yards and a touchdown, while receiver
Dennis Houston has made 12 catches for 124 yards. Senior receiver
Ethan Fry leads in receiving yards with 150 on eight catches, including a touchdown, while senior running back
Terrance Peters has added 138 rushing yards and a score.
Senior All-America linebacker
Garrett Dolan jumped back into the top 10 nationally in tackles by breaking his own school record with 19 tackles last week at Abilene Christian. He is tied for ninth with 11.3 tackles per game and is the career active leader in the FCS with 429 stops. Senior linebacker
Cody Moncure is second on the team with 26 tackles and junior defensive end
Johnavhon Graham leads the Huskies with 2.0 sacks. Sophomore safety
Nicholas Smith has made two interceptions this season and junior cornerback
Raphael Lewis has five pass breakups.

Alec Chadwick is 3-for-3 on field goal attempts, including a 54-yarder against Abilene Christian, which is the second-longest in the FCS this season. Senior punter
Christian Guzman is averaging 43.1 yards on 22 punts, has five of 50 yards or more and has landed eight inside the 20.
Quarterback James Tabary, who was named SLC Offensive Player of the Week Monday, has completed 72-of-108 passes for 831 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions for McNeese (1-2, 0-1). Justin Pratt has rushed for 225 yards and two touchdowns, while Shelby Kent has caught 15 passes for 188 yards and a touchdown. Darious Crawley, Cyron Sutton and Tavarious Battiste have each hauled in two touchdown receptions.
Ashari Goins leds the Cowboys with 17 tackles and 2.5 sacks, while Andre Fuller has made 12 tackles. Jermaine Antoine has made a pair of interceptions. Trent Manuel is 3-for-5 on field goal attempts and Alex Kjellsten is averaging 41.75 yards on 16 attempts.
HBU will be off next week, before returning for back-to-back home games, beginning with 12th-ranked Central Arkansas on Family Weekend Saturday, Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. at Husky Stadium.
