ARLINGTON, Texas – After last night's rally from an 0-2 deficit for a five-set win over UT Arlington, HBU once again found itself two sets down and took the third set, but could not fully recapture the magic in a 3-1 (25-20, 25-23, 17-25, 25-19) loss to Arizona State to wrap up the UTA Maverick Volleyball Classic Saturday morning at College Park Center.

Bailey Banks posted a double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs, while freshman setter
Abby Gargus had 34 assists, a career-high nine kills and six digs for the Huskies (8-4). Redshirt freshman right side

Mikayla Vivens each added eight kills, while senior middle blocker
Blair Gillard had seven kills and six blocks.
Banks was named to the all-tournament team, earning honors in all three of the Huskies' tournaments this season, including the MVP of the Sawyer Camillo Memorial Classic in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Ivana Jeremic had 17 kills and nine digs for the Sun Devils (8-2), while Oluoma Okaro had 13 kills and seven digs. Griere Hughes chipped in with 10 kills and Peyton Grahovac had eight. Nicole Peterson handed out 48 assists and had nine digs. Halle Harker led ASU with 23 digs and Courtney Leffel added 12.
ASU hit .224 and held HBU to a .158 attack percentage. The Sun Devils outdug the Huskies, 66-60, but HBU held the advantage in aces, 7-2. Each team had 10 blocks.
The Huskies begin Southland Conference play with three road games in five days, beginning with McNeese Thursday, followed by Nicholls Saturday and Central Arkansas Monday.
