HOUSTON - HBU hosts Northwestern State on Homecoming in Southland Conference football Saturday at 6 p.m. at Husky Stadium. Senior linebackers
Garrett Dolan and
Cody Moncure anchor the Huskies' defense. Dolan ranks third nationally and leads the SLC with 12.6 tackles per game, while Moncure has made 56 tackles and had an interception and a fumble recovery in last week's game at Stephen F. Austin. Sophomore defensive end
Andre Walker leads HBU (1-6, 0-5 SLC) with 9.5 tackles for loss and junior defensive end
Johnavhon Graham leads the team with three sacks. Junior cornerback

Freshman quarterback

Senior punter
Christian Guzman ranks second in the league with a 42.3-yard average and junior kicker
Alec Chadwick is 6-for-11 on field goal attempts, which includes a season-best 54-yarder.
J.D. Almond has completed 72-of-137 passes for 936 yards, five touchdowns and five interceptions for the Demons (1-6, 1-4). Chris Jones has rushed for 470 yards and three touchdowns, while Jared West has gained 244 yards on the ground with three scores. Marquis Chapman leads the team with 22 receptions for 184 yards and a touchdown, Bobb Chan-Chan has 21 for 313 yards and a pair of touchdowns, Cameron Lazare has 21 for 175 yards and Jaylen Watson has made 15 catches for 273 yards and three touchdowns.
Nick Pierotti leads NSU with 59 tackles and has recovered a pair of fumbles, while Austin Balthazor has made 43 stops and Ryan Reed has 42. Obinna Iheoma leads the Demons with five sacks and Isaac Warren has made three interceptions and broken up 10 passes.
HBU and Northwestern State have never met on the gridiron due to the Southland's rotating schedule. The two schools will face off in Natchitoches, Louisiana, in 2018.
The Huskies hit the road next week to take on No. 20 Nicholls Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
