OREM, Utah – HBU men's soccer embarks on its final Western Athletic Conference road trip of the 2017 season this week, beginning with Utah Valley on Thursday, Oct. 19, and then 25th-ranked Seattle on Sunday, Oct. 22.

The Huskies (5-6-0, 2-4-0 WAC) went 1-1 last week in a pair of home matches at Sorrels Field, first downing CSU Bakersfield, 2-1, on Thursday before falling by a score of 1-0 on Sunday to San Jose State. Abdullah Mirza and Marc-Anthone scored the Huskies' goals in Thursday's win, giving Mirza two for the season while Marc-Anthone's was his first.

Five different HBU players are tied for the team-lead with two goals each with Dominick Faletto leading the team with nine points, thanks to two goals and five assists. Harrison Veith currently leads the WAC with a save percentage of .824 and his goals against average of 0.97 is good for third-best in the league.

HBU is currently tied for seventh in the conference standings with six points. Utah Valley (4-8-2, 1-3-2 WAC) sits one points behind the Huskies in ninth while Seattle (10-2-2, 4-0-2 WAC) stands atop the standings. The top seven teams in the league earn bids to the conference championship tournament.

The Wolverines are 1-0-2 in their last three home matches, including a 1-1 draw with No. 12 Air Force this past Sunday. Senior Paul Hoffmeister and sophomore Gui Leme lead the way with eight points each. Hoffmeister is tops on the squad with four goals. Joseph Wheelright and Elliott Rubio have split time in goal with Wheelright boasting better save percentage and goals against numbers but Rubio owning all three of the Wolverines' shutouts. UVU has been out-scored 22-13 on the season.

Seattle is riding a six match unbeaten streak and has lost just one home match on the year, to Washington which is currently ranked No. 21 in the country. Four different Redhawk players are tied for the team-lead with five goals on the season for a SU team that holds a 26-12 goal-differential this year. Alex Roldan, a senior, is fourth in the league with 1.07 points per match while Cody Gibson is tied for first in the league with three game-winners.

HBU is 1-2-0 all-time against Utah Valley while posting a 1-3-1 record against Seattle. The Huskies' victories over the two teams both came during the 2015 season in back-to-back matches in which UVU and SU were both ranked in the top-25.

The Huskies will return home for their final two matches of the season, first against UT Rio Grande Valley on Thursday, Oct. 26, and then Incarnate Word on Sunday, Oct. 29.
