NATCHITOCHES, Louisiana – HBU will take on Northwestern State in Southland Conference volleyball Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., then play Prairie View A&M on the road Wednesday in a rescheduled non-conference matchup at 6:30 p.m.
The Huskies (15-6, 7-2 SLC) are led by senior outside hitter
Bailey Banks and
Jessica Wooten, with Banks averaging 3.87 kills and 3.37 digs per set and Wooten averaging 3.01 kills and 3.68 digs per set. Banks also leads the conference in service aces with 0.43 per set. Senior middle blocker
Blair Gillard leads the league with 1.39 blocks per set and junior middle blocker
Kayla Davenport ranks sixth with 1.09. Junior setter
Madison O'Brien recorded HBU's first-ever four-set triple-double in Saturday's win over Abilene Christian and is averaging 9.66 assists, 1.49 kills and 2.71 digs per set. Senior libero
Hailey Erickson ranks seventh in the conference with 4.00 digs per set.
Reagan Rogers leads the Lady Demons (10-12, 5-2) with 3.16 kills and 2.43 digs per set, with Hannah Brister adding 2.39 kills and 1.51 digs per set. Alexis Warren chips in with 2.29 kills and 2.40 digs per set. Kathryn Wisten paces the offense with 9.28 assists per set and Channing Burleson anchors the defense with 4.40 digs per set.
Prairie View A&M (3-11) faces a pair of Southland foes this week, as the Panthers travel to McNeese, before returning home to host the Huskies. Taylor Goudeau leads PVAMU with 3.06 kills per set, while Hailee Morton averages 2.19. Mykaeli Franklin hands out 5.15 assists per set and Erica Jimenez averages 4.24. Christen Augustine leads the Panthers defensively with 4.11 digs per set.
The Huskies will have a full week off, before returning to action on its final road trip of the season against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Thursday, Oct. 26, followed by Incarnate Word Saturday, Oct. 28. HBU finishes the season with four-straight at home.
