HBU is off to its best start as a member of the Southland Conference at 4-0, tied with Sam Houston State atop the standings, and riding its best win streak since the 2012-13 season when the team won eight straight. The Huskies lead the conference in free throw percentage (.467) and rank second in scoring (77.9 points per game).
On the season, Ibarra ranks second in the SLC in field goal percentage (.621) and tied for fifth in blocks (1.4 per game), while Odunsi sits fifth in scoring (16.0 per game), eight in free throw percentage (.847) and ninth in assists (4.0). In conference play, Ibarra leads the SLC with a .706 efficiency from the floor and Odunsi is averaging 20.8 points per game.
Freshman
Isaiah Robinson leads the SLC in blocks (2.5 per game), ranking third in the country among freshman and 23rd overall at the Division I level.
The Privateers enter the weekend at 5-9 overall (1-2 SLC) under head coach Mark Slessinger and are coming off a 71-68 loss to Incarnate Word on Monday. UNO is led by a pair of juniors, as Christavious Gill averages 13.9 points per game and Erik Thomas is pulling down 7.0 rebounds per contest.
Following Saturday's tilt, HBU will continue its three-game road swing with a visit to Central Arkansas on Tuesday, Jan. 19, before closing out with Lamar (Jan. 23).
