NEW ORLEANS – The HBU men's basketball team will look to build upon their current five-game win streak and open a three-game road swing in a 6:30 p.m. tip on Saturday at New Orleans. ESPN3 will broadcast the game with Lyn Rollins handling play-by-play and Ronnie Arrow providing color commentary, while the Legacy Sports Network with Lonnie King will carry the audio broadcast on HBUHuskies.com.
 
HBU is coming off a 78-69 win over Nicholls on Tuesday night. Senior Anthony Odunsi scored 16 points and junior Reveal Chukwujekwu finished with 10, as the Huskies picked up their first win over Colonels since 1986.
 
HBU is off to its best start as a member of the Southland Conference at 4-0, tied with Sam Houston State atop the standings, and riding its best win streak since the 2012-13 season when the team won eight straight. The Huskies lead the conference in free throw percentage (.467) and rank second in scoring (77.9 points per game).
 
On the season, Ibarra ranks second in the SLC in field goal percentage (.621) and tied for fifth in blocks (1.4 per game), while Odunsi sits fifth in scoring (16.0 per game), eight in free throw percentage (.847) and ninth in assists (4.0). In conference play, Ibarra leads the SLC with a .706 efficiency from the floor and Odunsi is averaging 20.8 points per game.
 
Freshman Isaiah Robinson leads the SLC in blocks (2.5 per game), ranking third in the country among freshman and 23rd overall at the Division I level.
 
The Privateers enter the weekend at 5-9 overall (1-2 SLC) under head coach Mark Slessinger and are coming off a 71-68 loss to Incarnate Word on Monday. UNO is led by a pair of juniors, as Christavious Gill averages 13.9 points per game and Erik Thomas is pulling down 7.0 rebounds per contest.
 
Following Saturday's tilt, HBU will continue its three-game road swing with a visit to Central Arkansas on Tuesday, Jan. 19, before closing out with Lamar (Jan. 23).
