As part of HBU Basketball's 50th Season celebration, the All-Decade Team for the 2000s will be announced and honored at halftime. The HBU Basketball Tip-Off Club will be sponsoring a free tailgate for all fans prior to the game.

The Huskies (11-13, 6-8 SLC) look to get back on track after a season-long three-game skid. Sophomore forward Colter Lasher averages 10.5 points per game, while four other players average at least six points per game. Freshman center Josh Ibarra leads the team with 6.5 rebounds and ranks fourth among all Division I freshmen with 2.13 blocks per contest.

SFA (23-4, 13-1) has won three straight after having its 19-game winning streak and 32-game Southland Conference winning streak snapped. The Lumberjacks are led by Thomas Walkup, who averages 15.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per game and reigning SLC Player of the Year, Jacob Parker, who adds 13.9 and 5.5 boards per game. Three other players average at least eight points per game.
