The Huskies (11-12, 6-7 SLC) are led by junior guard
Anthony Odunsi, who averages 12.5 points and 2.8 assists per game and sophomore forward
Colter Lasher, who averages 10.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. Freshman center
Josh Ibarra leads HBU with 6.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocked shots per game and is one of five other Huskies averaging at least six points per game.
UIW (16-7, 8-5) is paced by Denzel Livingston's 23.0 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, while Jontrell Walker averages 15.7 points per game. Kyle Hittle adds 15.0 points and 6.4 boards per contest and Traylin Farris chips in with 10.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. Mitchell Badillo dishes out nearly five assists per game for the Cardinals.
HBU and UIW will be meeting for the first of two games this season, as the Huskies will host the Cardinals in the season finale on March 7 at Sharp Gym in Houston.
The Cardinals lead the all-time series, 16-1, and claimed last year's first meeting as Southland Conference foes, 89-82, in overtime on Feb. 8, 2014, in San Antonio.
The Huskies return to action when they host Stephen F. Austin Saturday at 7 p.m. at Sharp Gym. As part of HBU's 50th Season celebration, the All-Decade Team from the 2000s will be announced and honored at halftime.
